Date: 9/21 – 9/22 | Time: 11AM – 10PM | Location: Sixth Street Austin
Two weekends a year (early May, late Sept.), Sixth Street and surrounds are transformed into The Pecan Street Festival.
Featuring over 300 artists and original artisans, three stages of live music, a wide variety of ethnic and regional food, children’s workshops, a petting zoo, magic shows, title sponsors, interactive installments, and so much more. Certainly, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy. Bring the family, bring the dog, love Austin, love Art.
Like Austin itself, Pecan Street Festival attendees are diverse. Some come to buy art, others come for the food or the music. More importantly, they all come to take part in a tradition that is 100% Austin and has been known for more than three decades as a great way to spend a weekend. The festival has been managed by Special Events Live since 2006.
– Nearly 50 of Austin’s top musical acts, from up-and-comers to renowned veterans, perform on three stages. The stages are located on Trinity, Neches and Red River streets.
– Thirty food vendors located throughout the festival. They offer both indulgent and healthy options from crepes, funnel cakes and regional cuisine, to smoothies and fresh squeezed lemonade.
– Kid-friendly activities include rides, a petting zoo, face-painting, interactive workshops, street magicians and more.
