Georgetown’s Music on the Square, a free summer concert series!
Music on the Square, a free summer concert series, returns to “The Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas” in Georgetown. This is just 25 miles north of Austin.
These family-friendly, live music shows run Friday nights from June through August. The exceptions are June 7, July 5, and August 2. There’s music for everyone including the Wilson String Band playing country rockabilly, Megatune playing reggae & Motown, Mike Hamilton playing saxophone jazz, and Lexxi Garza performing 80’s & 90’s covers.
The music begins at 6:30 p.m. and wraps up around 8:30 p.m. (weather permitting).
Every first Friday of the month, Georgetown also celebrates First Fridays Downtown. Merchants stay open later for evening shopping. Bring your own blanket, folding chair and snacks (no glass permitted), or check out the charming downtown restaurants and relish a relaxing summer evening.
