29th Annual Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival

Date: 8/25 | Time: 11 AM – 5 PM | Location: Fiesta Gardens

Save the date for the Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival, Sunday, August 25 at Fiesta Gardens!

Celebrate 29 years of the world’s largest hot sauce festival and donate to support the Central Texas Food Bank.

What began as a small hot sauce contest in 1990 has grown into the largest competition of its kind. The festival is one of Austin’s largest and best-known annual food events. It has drawn as many as 10,000 spectators and over 350 entries each year.

Along with our popular hot sauce competition and vendors, this truly Austin festival features live music from Bruce Robison & Kelly Willis, Harry Edohoukwa, Mariachi Capitál, and Batty jr.

Sample hundreds of hot sauces and cool off with ice cold Firemans Light. And certainly, enjoy food from Amy’s Ice Creams, Garbo’s Lobster Truck ATX, Johnny Joe’s Concessions , Sun Garden Shaved Ice, Torchy’s Tacos, and Ze Wurst. Sample hot sauces with chips provided by Fiesta Tortillas.

Admission is free with a $5 suggested donation to the Central Texas Food Bank. Visit Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival site for more information and follow Austin Chronicle Events for updates!
