If you’re looking for something cool, exciting, and FREE to do with your little ones this summer, the Austin Symphony Children’s Day Art Park has you covered!

The ASO continues to present summer fun at the Austin Central Library (710 W Cesar Chavez St.). Exciting activities and musical guests are back in this comfortable setting; and that’s not all! We will have three encore performances at different locations: Gustavo “Gus” Garcia Recreation Center, Old Quarry Branch and Milwood Branch Libraries. Come join your Austin Symphony Orchestra and Master of Ceremonies, Bernadette Nason, this summer!

​Children and adults can experience the magic of the performing arts at Austin Symphony Children’s Day Art Park. This exciting summer program features local musicians, storytellers, and crafts people. Youngsters can visit the Instrument Zoo from 10:00-10:30 a.m., where they can see, touch and play the instruments; talk to Symphony musicians and hear them play their instruments; sing and clap along with the star of the show; and try their hands at different art projects. ​

Austin Symphony July 4th Concert and Fireworks is an Austin Tradition. Free fireworks, and a free live performance for all central Texans. Great food and drinks, and a variety of local arts & crafts vendors.

Spend this Independence Day with 100,000 of your closest friends! Central Texans will hurry to claim their grassy spot with the Austin Symphony Orchestra (ASO) this July 4th. This is for the largest Independence Day Celebration in the state. Tens of thousands of families will be decked out in red, white, and blue and heading down to Vic Mathias Shores (formerly Auditorium Shores) this July 4th. They will witness an amazing event complete with a fireworks display over the city skyline backed by symphonic patriotic classics. The H-E-B Austin Symphony 42nd Annual July 4th Concert and Fireworks is planned, produced, and performed entirely by the Austin Symphony, with the help of its generous sponsors.

The Austin Symphony pays for the fireworks for downtown Austin. However, this is with the help of their generous sponsors Importantly, they rely on community support from wonderful businesses and patrons like you to help them light up the sky.

The ASO will perform at 8:30 p.m., followed by “mile-high” fireworks at approximately 9:30 p.m. For those that can’t attend, but wish to hear the concert while the fireworks are going off, tune in to Majic 95.5 FM. The event is free and open to the public.

Tell your family and friends to mark their calendars now. This is the one outdoor event this year you do not want to miss! So grab a picnic and a blanket, and be at Vic Mathias Shores to declare your Independence!

Willie Nelson’s Fourth of July Picnic is on the road again and headed straight for Circuit of The Americas’ Austin360 Amphitheater stage.

Celebrate America’s birthday with a star-studded lineup of all-day music on two stages. This capped off with a patriotic fireworks display!

Additional performers include Jamey Johnson, Steve Earle & The Dukes, Colter Wall, Hayes Carll, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Gene Watson, Billy Joe Shaver, Johnny Bush, Folk Uke, Raelyn Nelson Band and The Casey Kristofferson Band.

Willie Nelson’s Fourth of July Picnic is an annual concert hosted by country music singer Willie Nelson. Nelson was inspired to create the annual concert after his participation in the 1972 Dripping Springs Reunion. That was hosted at Hurlbut Ranch in Dripping Springs, Texas.

Dell Diamond will become a royal palace on Monday, June 17 for Princess Night. Fans are encouraged to sport their best regal attire and can purchase an $8 ticket add-on that includes access to an exclusive princess meet-and-greet.

Express Princess Night is a tale as old as time on Monday, June 17! For $8 per participant in advance (includes two non-participant guardians), you can add access to an exclusive princess meet and greet to your ticket purchase. Price increases to $12 day of game.

Princesses will be available during the game for all ticketed fans but you can meet all the royalty in one place by adding on the exclusive meet and greet to your ticket purchase.

Princesses, princes and their families can also enjoy $1 hot dogs and sodas presented by Mrs Baird’s.

Gates open at 6:05PM. First pitch at 7:05 PM.

Father's Day concert

Father’s Day Concert in the Park

Join ASB for a free Father’s Day concert in the park at the Zilker Hillside Theatre.

Austin Symphonic Band (ASB) celebrates Dad with this annual concert at the Zilker Hillside Theatre. The band will perform a selection of patriotic melodies and family favorites. Works by Frank Sinatra, John Philip Sousa, George Gershwin and Andrew Lloyd Weber will be included.  Audience members are encouraged to picnic and spread a blanket under the pecan trees at the Zilker Hillside Theatre to celebrate Dad this Father’s Day!

This Father’s Day concert is free and open to the public!

Bring a picnic basket and spread out a blanket under the Pecan trees at the Hillside Theatre.
